Yes. After a storm, a roofer can inspect your roof, photograph every hail impact, lifted shingle, and dented gutter, and provide a report for your insurance company. Illinois allows only a licensed public adjuster or an attorney to negotiate a claim for you, so a roofer without that license can show the damage but can’t argue your settlement.
